My Favourite Recipe: Tomato Pasta / Moj najdraži recept: pašta s rajčicom

So, this is my favourite dish of ALL times. I learned it when I was a little kid and there is nothing I eat more willingly than this tasty, simple, cheap and low-calorie recipe.

Ovo je moje omiljeno jelo otkad znam za sebe. Naučila sam ga praviti kao malena i ništa ne jedem radije od ovog ukusnog, jednostavnog, jeftinog recepta koji ne sadrži puno kalorija.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 500 g pasta of your choice (serves 4)
- 3-4 cloves of garlic (chopped or squeezed, if you are not a fan, you can always use dry garlic powder)
- 1 can / jar of smashed/peeled tomatoes (I use pelati), chopped
- pinch of chillies
- pinch of oregano
- 4 tablespoons extra vergin olive oil (2 for the sauce)
- a bit of grated parmesan cheese (to serve)

Vrijeme pripreme: 5 minuta
Vrijeme kuhanja: 15 minuta
Sastojci:
- 500 g pašte po izboru (za 4 osobe)
- par režnjeva češnjaka (nasjeckan na sitno ili stisnut, ako ga ne volite, poslužit će i češnjak u prahu)
- 1 konzerva / staklenka pelata, nasjeckati
- malo čilija
- malo origana
- 4 žlice ekstra djevičanskog maslinovog ulja (2 za umak)
- malo naribanog parmezana (kad poslužujete)




Cook the pasta in salted water with 1 tablespoon of olive oil added, as instructed (8-15 minutes, depending on the pasta of your choice). In a separate dish, combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil with garlic. When they become hot, add tomatoes, a pinch of salt, chillies and oregano and bring to boil. Move aside.
When the pasta is ready add a tablespoon of olive oil. Serve with sauce and add parmesan on top.

Paštu skuhajte u slanoj vodi s dodanom žlicom maslinovog ulja po uputama (8-15 minuta, ovisno o vrsti pašte). U posebnoj zdjelici stavite češnjak na 2 žlice maslinovog ulja. Kad postanu vrući, dodajte pelate, malo soli, čilija i origana i pustite da zakipi te maknite s vatre.
Kad je pašta gotova, dodajte joj žlicu maslinovog ulja da se ne lijepi. Poslužite s umakom i dodajte parmezana.



Enjoy! Please ignore that this is a different kind of pasta than on the first pic of the ingredients, my other half complained after I started making the dish as he is not really a spaghetti fan :)

Dobar tek! Molim ignorirajte činjenicu da je poslužena druga pašta nego na prvoj slici sastojaka, moja druga polovica se bunila jer nije obožavatelj špageta :)

  1. sjecam se kad si mi to skuhala, davne 90ineke i dan danas pamtim kak je bilo fino. Nisi mogla staviti bolji recept.
