Magic World Of Korean Cosmetics

Night mask? Sheet masks for every part of your face? Oil cleanser? We imported all of those things from Asia and most of it originates directly from Korea. My niece wished for a cushion compact as a gift for St. Nicholas, so I took her wish as an opportunity to find out a few things worth importing from Korean beauty routine.

Cushion compacts (and everything else)
Remember Lancome Miracle Cushion Compact? Lancome found inspiration for Miracle Cushion in numerous cushion compacts used by women of South Korea. Cushion compacts are the most popular Korean beauty item and you can find them in all forms: cheap, BB, CC, as well as luxury anti-age cushions. Also, you can choose from those convenient for oily, dry, mixed or ageing skin, and also according to desired effect matte, whitening or dewy. They contain a high SPF (usually 35-50) and they come mostly in light colors. Korean tan is gentle and very light. Also, you can find cushion blushes and eyeshadows, so cool!

Double cleansing
If you are used to double cleansing, remember that this trend originates from Asia. Korean women always clean their face twice. First, take off your make-up with cleansing oil or cleansing cloths, then use a cleansing gel or foam to insure your face is as smooth and clean as baby's. If you know of a great cleansing oil, I am all ears!

Sheet masks
If there is a part of our face, Korean cosmetics have a sheet mask for it. There are various masks for eye area, nasolabial lines, cheeks, lips and neck.

Night masks
Sleep masks are the new black. They make your face hydrated, full of glow and line-free. They do their magic during night, but if you refuse to purchase a special night mask, just slather your most hydrating night cream in thick layer and surprise yourself with great morning results.

Whitening and high SPF
Korean beauty means gentle, light and young-looking face. Korean beauty market offers numerous whitening products: serums, essences and ampules that make your face look white and young. Most of Korean beauty products contain a high SPF, mostly 50, that helps keep those fine lines away.
