Maybelline Make IT Happen




Do you remember the legendary slogan "Maybe She's Born With It, Maybe It's Maybelline"? Perhaps we will now all sing the new lyrics, because on February 11th 2016, Maybelline New York proudly unveiled a new slogan "Make It Happen", in the heart of Zagreb, on top of the Zagreb Eye in Ilica skyscraper.


Maybelline New York had a clear mission and vision from the start. Ever since 1915, when Mabel Williams mixed coal dust and Vaseline in an effort to emphasize her eyes and thus created the first mascara in the world. Maybelline is inspired by strong women and feels proud to be available to women all over the world. The vision of beauty changes through seasons and decades, but the power of transformation through make-up and the desire for beauty never disappear. Maybelline New York is driven by the desire of women around the world to highlight their uniqueness and audacity. In today's extremely fast-paced world, a new generation of women is free to express themselves in different ways every day and adapt it to themselves, as desired. Accordingly, Maybelline New York changes brand communication and slogan. "Make IT Happen" is a clear and strong message that inspires women to express their beauty in their own way, encouraging them to take a stand, to find their new look, and to highlight their own creativity and individuality.



I'm ashamed to admit that I had not yet visited Zagreb Eye, although I was born and have been living in Zagreb all my life. With the famous Cosmo as a welcome cocktail and a selection of Baby Lips lipbalms, one amazing evening was ready to begin.








Some of the ambassadors of Maybelline New York cosmetics are famous models Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima, Jourdan Dunn, and our Croatian Make It Happen campaign announcers were young actresses Sara Duvnjak and Tena Nemet Brankov.



Make-up trends, inspired by the New York fashion trends, as well as the Maybelline New York novelties were presented by makeup artist Aleksandar Đikić. It is interesting that Maybelline NY sponsors 11 global Fashion Weeks, most notably those in New York, London and Berlin.







Since Maybelline has some of the best drugstore mascaras, that are comparable, if not better than most expensive high-end mascaras, a brief presentation of The Falsies Push Up Drama mascara interested me the most, as well as the announcements of new products, that I simply can not wait to reach our stores, such as Super stay 24H liquid foundation and Setting Spray fixing mist. Together with lovely snacks and bites, great music and a killer view, for the most of us Make IT Happen slogan marked the beginning of a new Maybelline era, that will entice many luxury brands to battle with those new Maybelline lovelies.



There is no better combination than delicious snacks, cocktails and make-up jewels, so I am leaving you to enjoy in the photos from the event and surprises that we found in our goodie bags. I can tell you a secret that I have been using and loving all three products, wearing them every day!
